JTravel

Community agreement

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of JTravel, operated by The Jewish Travel App Inc. ("JTravel," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using our app or related services, including shared meal invitations, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Effective September 30, 2026

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and use only an account you are authorized to access. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, travel plans or hosting details. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. What JTravel provides

JTravel helps travelers discover and connect with other people, share travel plans, exchange messages, apply to host Shabbat meals, create meals and request attendance. Features and availability may change. JTravel is not a travel agency, restaurant, accommodation provider or emergency service, and is not a party to arrangements users make with each other.

3. Community rules

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, exploit, discriminate against or endanger anyone.
  • Post or send illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, graphically violent or otherwise harmful content.
  • Commit fraud, impersonate others, send spam, mislead people or solicit them deceptively.
  • Disclose another person's private address, contact details, images or other personal information without permission.
  • Infringe copyright or other rights, evade blocks or suspensions, or misuse reporting tools.
  • Scrape personal information, compromise security, distribute malware or interfere with the service.

These rules apply to profiles, photos, chats, hosting applications, meal listings and shared invitations.

4. Your content and our use of it

You retain ownership of content you submit and must have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You give JTravel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, display and transmit that content, including through service providers, only as needed to operate, secure and moderate the service and provide the features you choose.

This permission ends when the content is removed from our systems, except for limited retention described in our Privacy Policy or required by law. Other people may retain copies of content you shared with them. Do not upload content you are not entitled to share. JTravel's own software, branding and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

5. Reporting, blocking and enforcement

Use in-app reporting to flag inappropriate profiles, meals or messages, and use blocking to stop unwanted interactions. You may also report safety concerns or disputed moderation decisions to support@jtravel.app. Include relevant details without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

We may screen text and images, review reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law or protect users. Automated screening and host approval do not guarantee that all harmful content or conduct will be detected.

6. Hosts, meals and shared invitations

Hosts are responsible for accurate meal information, managing attendance and communicating changes or cancellations. A request is not a confirmed place unless the host approves it or the meal's stated approval settings accept it. Hosts and guests should discuss dietary requirements, allergies, accessibility, timing and meeting details directly.

Host approval by JTravel is permission to use hosting features, not a guarantee of identity, a background check, food safety, religious standards or suitability. We do not certify that food is kosher or free of allergens. Hosts must handle food responsibly and follow applicable laws; guests should confirm requirements before attending.

Anyone with a shared invitation link may be able to view its public details and forward it. Do not post private addresses or other people's contact information in public descriptions. Use guest contact information only for legitimate meal arrangements, not unsolicited marketing or harassment. Public invitation pages do not display the host's exact private address.

7. Personal safety

Use your judgment when meeting people, traveling or attending private meals. Consider meeting in public first and telling someone you trust about your plans. JTravel cannot guarantee another person's identity, behavior, availability or safety. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; reporting through JTravel is not a substitute for emergency assistance.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, including messaging, location, invitations and content screening. Device permissions can be managed in your device settings. Authentication, maps, messaging and other features may rely on third-party services with their own terms and privacy policies.

For the iOS app, Apple's applicable App Store terms and standard licensed-application agreement apply where relevant. These service Terms do not replace any mandatory Apple terms or limit rights you have under applicable law.

9. Leaving JTravel and account deletion

You can stop using JTravel at any time. To delete your account in the app, open Profile → Delete account → Delete My Account Now and confirm. The app also offers scheduled deletion with a 30-day grace period. If you cannot access your account, contact support@jtravel.app from the account's email address. We may verify ownership before acting.

Deletion and limited retention are explained in our Privacy Policy. We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, fraud, legal requirements or safety risks. Contact support if you believe a restriction was made in error.

10. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful service, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access or that a meeting or meal will meet your expectations. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. You remain responsible for your own content, conduct and arrangements with other users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer rights. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to seek remedies available under applicable law.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain renewed agreement where required by law. Changes will not remove rights that already arose under applicable law.
